Chris — everything for the launch, in one place. For each piece: mark it and add any notes. At the bottom, hit Download and send me the one file it makes.
How to read this: the sections run in funnel order, top to bottom. Each one is a step a candidate moves through, marked with its place in the funnel.

The sequence
The one choice that sets the order of everything below: does the video come before the first call, or after it?
Option A
Video-First Suggested
The video is the gate, up front.

Best for: fewer calls, each already committed. The video filters before your time is spent.
Option B
Call-First
Your playbook order — the call is the gate.

Offer → Hire
Best for: the call is the first filter — the video and assessment follow it.
Either way, the plan is the same underneath: Indeed filters your five hard requirements up front, then a follow-up link carries the video and a short assessment. The only question is whether the video or the first call comes first.

1The ad
Indeed ad
What a candidate sees on Indeed. This is a preview of the live posting.
Best practices
Posting
Post it with the screener questions attached, anchored to Albany with a wide radius to reach all three counties.
Open item
Confirm the $80 to $150 weekly tip average against payroll. Stating it sets an expectation you'll get asked about.

2The gate on Indeed
Screener questions
The questions Indeed asks at apply time. The deal-breakers filter anyone who misses a hard requirement before you ever see them.
1
Residential experience
How many years of experience do you have cleaning private homes? (Houses, not offices, hotels, or janitorial work.)
Multiple choice · deal-breaker under 1 year
2
Driver's license
Do you have a valid driver's license?
Yes / No · deal-breaker: Yes
3
Reliable, insured vehicle
Do you have a reliable personal vehicle in good working condition, with active auto insurance, that you can use to drive between homes during the day?
Yes / No · deal-breaker: Yes
4
Work authorization
Are you legally authorized to work in the United States?
Yes / No · deal-breaker: Yes
5
Weekday daytime availability
Our work is on weekdays, Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Can you work some or all of those hours?
Yes / No · deal-breaker: Yes
6
Background and driving check
This job requires passing a background check and a motor vehicle record (driving) check. Are you willing to complete both?
Yes / No · deal-breaker: Yes
7
Availability detail
How many hours a week are you looking for, and which days and times can you cover?
Short text · not a filter
Best practices
Setup
Add these on Indeed and mark 1 through 6 as deal-breakers. Leave 7 as a regular question.
Why six
Each one kills an application you'd otherwise reject on the phone. Nothing here touches anything protected.

4The video
The video
The short video an applicant watches before the assessment. You film it. Pick one of the two approaches.
Who we are. Four years, the reputation, built by the cleaners who show up.
3
The real job. What the work actually is and the standard you hold.
4
Straight talk on pay. The honest numbers, no games.
5
Who does well, who doesn't. The candid part that lets the wrong fit opt out.
6
Hear from the crew. Cut to two or three of your people on why they stay.
7
What's next. The assessment, a conversation, then a Paid Working Evaluation.
8
The invitation. "If that's you, take the next step."
Option B
See the Work
Crew and homes, your voice over it. Needs a filming day.
1
Open on the work. Finished homes, the crew in motion, no words yet.
2
Voiceover picks up. "What you're looking at is our standard."
3
Who we are. The story over footage of the team and finished rooms.
4
The standard, shown. Detail shots, before and after, the little things.
5
What's real. Pay and expectations, honest, over the work.
6
Hear from the crew. Your testimonials carry this stretch, real people over the footage.
7
Who fits. The self-select, over the crew doing it right.
8
Next + invitation. The assessment, a conversation, the Paid Working Evaluation, then "take the next step."
The branded page it plays on
Best practices
Length
2 to 3 minutes. Long enough to be honest, short enough to hold them.
Wording
Talk like yourself, not a script. Be straight about pay and about who doesn't do well here. End by pointing them to the assessment.
Quality
Film horizontal, good light on your face, a quiet room for clean audio, phone on a tripod.
Testimonials
Keep them short and unscripted. A couple of real lines beats a polished paragraph.

5The assessment
The assessment
The form that unlocks when the video ends. This is the real application, the part you actually read. It pulls from your Section 7 themes and the five hard requirements, so it goes deeper than the Indeed screener and gives people room to answer in their own words. It does re-confirm the five requirements Indeed already filtered. Keep that as a second check in their own words, or tell me to trim it.
Contact
1
Name, phone, email
Short fields.
Experience
2
How many years of residential cleaning experience do you have?
Dropdown, under 1 year to more than 5.
3
Is your experience 100% residential (private homes)?
Yes, or No / mixed.
4
Tell us about the homes and services you've done.
Open. Recurring, deep cleans, move in/out, teams vs solo.
Requirements
5
Do you have a valid driver's license?
Yes / No.
6
Do you own a reliable, fully insured vehicle?
Yes / No.
7
If your vehicle wouldn't start tomorrow, what's your backup plan to get to work?
Open. The reliability tell.
8
Are you legally authorized to work in the US?
Yes / No.
9
Are you available during weekday daytime hours?
Yes / No.
Motivation
10
Why residential cleaning, and why BD Homes?
Open.
11
What does long-term success in this role look like to you?
Open.
Best practices
Read order
The open answers are where fit shows up, so read those first. The Yes/No's just confirm.
Length
Every question earns its place. Keep it to what you'll actually read, or it stops getting read.
The requirements
They repeat the Indeed gates on purpose, as a second check in the candidate's own words. Cut them if you'd rather keep it short.
When it shows
It only unlocks after the video finishes, so everyone answering has already heard the honest pitch.

6The call
The phone screen
Your Section 7 call flow, the conversation after the assessment. Same flow that's in the dashboard call screen.
1
Employment history
Current employment? Why leaving? Why BD Homes?
2
Residential experience
Types of homes? Recurring? Deep cleans? Solo or team?
3
Transportation
Own vehicle? Reliable, insured? Backup?
4
Reliability
A time it was hard to get to work? How handled?
5
Professionalism
Comfort with pets, occupied homes, working independently?
6
Compensation
Current rate? Desired?
7
Motivation
Why residential cleaning? Long-term success?
Outcome: pass or fail, no maybe. Pass advances them to your final interview. Fail logs a reason, so the decline stays honest.
